I will now try using the instructions I've been given for doing a cut with HTML.

Now let's see if that works

See! It still doesn't work, and why is it giving the link twice, when I've cut and pasted a picture?

I'm going absolutely nutso and now I have a headache.

Pout!

What I found to work is to upload the picture from your Scrapbook and then put an HTML cut around the picture and not the link.

I don't know why it doesn't work, but it's a splendid picture!

As a last resort, you could email me the pictures and I could put them up for you.

I could set up another LJ account to which you'd have the password so it's clear the pictures are yours. If you want to try that, drop me an email - it's carol at wrhpv dot com

How kind you are Carol.

However, I seem to have somehow cracked it, although I've no idea what I did differently the last time. I wonder whether it may be that I rebooted the PC in desperation. I find that sometimes it gets stuck doing the same stupid thing until it's rebooted and then, Eureka!

Could be - it's amazing what gets shaken loose on a reboot sometimes :-)
