Nothing much.
Aug. 13th, 2008 11:17 pmI went to cardiac rehab today and got totally worn out. I've been told that I should have an hour's sleep every afternoon! I'd probably never get to sleep at night if I did that regularly, although the idea is rather tempting!
The batteries for the mobility scooter should arrive tomorrow, so all being well I should be mobile by Friday, although I don't know how long they will take to charge fully.
What a miserable chilly grey day it's been. I can't believe it's August. I really hope it cheers up next week so that we have some decent weather when my Sis is here. It will be great to have the scooter to scoot around with her!
I hope I can get my bum in gear tomorrow to finish up reallocating the last little pile of miscellaneous tqt which is at present sitting in the middle of my bedroom awaiting redistribution. Every day I mean to do it and every day I forget, so I've had this little hillock sitting in the room for weeks now. To be fair to myself, I am waiting for John to supply the last bookshelf and to repair the shelves in the wardrobe, so I'm just writing myself a note to nag him tomorrow. The little ReminderFox add-on I got for Firefox is great for stuff like that because it pops up every time I open the browser!
He'll probably get a job and be unable to do it if I do remember!
Another thing I never get round to is tidying the front garden. The shrubs are crowding over the path again and it's difficult to get along the path without being showered by rain from the leaves. It's been raining so heavily that a branch of my new little bay tree has been distorted and is now sticking out sideways instead of growing upwards. I got that bay tree half price because it was almost dead, but it's really thriving now.
The new hydrangea in the yard is doing really well, too, although the flowers on the new buddleia have all died off and it's sullenly refusing to put forth any more. I must make a note to dead-head it tomorrow, no matter how wet it is.
The hanging baskets are doing quite well, although they need dead-heading too. The herbs are doing really well, and even though I couldn't afford to do many pots this summer, it all looks very lush out there at the moment, although a lot of it is weeds.......... I rather like having pots of teasels and rosebay willow herb, actually...............

Goodness, I am so tired! I must go to bed.
