I've also told him to ask if there isn't some way he can skip through at least the first part of the ECDL, because it's terminally boring for someone of 32 who has been using computers since he was 7 and it will probably put him off going quite soon.
It's terminally boring for someone who *hasn't* been using computers that long, as well!
The problem with the ECDL is that to pass it all the modules have to be done. Charles might like to see if he can do a couple of practice tests, and if he does OK in those he should be able to do the 'real' thing. He has my sympathy though, he really does.
