My poor little Morgan seems to be rather ill.  Most of yesterday and all of today so far he has hardly moved from my bed.  He spends most of the time asleep and he's eaten/drunk very little and only with a great deal of persuasion.  When I touch one of his back legs he cries out and tries to bite me.  I'm really worried that he may become dehydrated.

I have an appointment with the vet at 16.20, but I'm frantic and can hardly bear to wait that long.  What on earth can be wrong with him?

Most likely - a scratch from one of the others which has given him an abscess.

Fingers crossed it's that - easily treatable.

Sounds pretty likely, especially since he plays with Bramble so much.

Bramble came in to see him a little while ago, licked him all over and tried to get him to play, but with no luck.

I feel a bit happier now that I've managed to get him to eat something and drink some water, but he's still very lethargic and unhappy about one of his back legs.

Poor little puss. Has he perhaps jumped awkwardly, and done the pussycat equivalent of spraining an ankle or something? I do hope he's better soon. I'll be thinking of you and of him.

I wondered that. I can't think of anything I've seen him do, but it's difficult to keep tabs on him 24 hours a day, so I suppose it's possible. He *is* a bit of a klutz still and sometimes lands awkwardly, so maybe that's it. We'll see what the vet has to say.
