posting below a cut
Oct. 22nd, 2007 04:30 pmI'm having terrible trouble posting my photographs to 100_snapshots, in spite of all the good advice I've been given.
I've managed to get the text and pictures in the right order now, but I still can't make the cut work. I shall try again now.

This one of the photos I'm trying to post under a cut.
If this doesn't work, I shall have to give up the project. I've wasted so many hours on just 4 photos now that I simply haven't got the patience for it any more. It's particularly annoying as everyone else seems to be able to do it. I didn't think I was gaga just yet.

Date: 2007-10-22 05:49 pm (UTC)I use a number of online photo sites. If the pic is already there, I just put the link to it. If not, I can upload it to the scrapbook as above.
Cuts are a different matter. I tend to do cuts separately after I've uploaded. Once I get all my text and images where I want them, I switch back to HTML mode and use the < lj-cut > tags at the top and bottom of the bit I want under the cut. I don't like the way the Rich Text version does it.

Date: 2007-10-22 09:39 pm (UTC)I've finally got it to work. I don't know what I did differently from the several previous times, but in the meantime I rebooted the PC, so maybe that helped.
I didn't realise the cut wouldn't show up in Preview or on my own LJ
