Heating on on 16th. May!!

After 3 days of shivering at 59F, we've reluctantly turned the heating back on as the house is beginning to smell damp and it feels colder than 59F really is.  Even Charles is cold and the cats keep wanting cuddles.

I was tempted to put the heating on for an hour or two tonight, but Geoff feels the cold much less than I do (odd, as he's of normal weight, not very well insulated as I am) and it would be quite unfair to roast him for my comfort.

Sometimes, I think it'd be very nice to have a small furritt curled up and purring on my lap; unfortunately, due to various sheddinesses, bits of electrical kit, and divers things with sharp edges, this house would be a pretty dodgy place for a feline friend, and it would be unfair (and very expensive) to put said furritt into lodgings when we go away several times a year.
