The Wind Beneath my Wings.
Apr. 18th, 2008 02:30 pmI'm sitting here sobbing my way through Bet Midler singing You are the Wind Beneath my Wings on my new CD of the sound track of "Beaches".
I've often wondered why this particular track always reduces me to a sodden wreck and I suddenly realised that it makes me think of my Grandma. I wish I could have thought to tell her how much I loved her and valued what she did for me, even though we did squabble throughout my early teens. It's all very well to write reams of poetry about it when it's too late, as I have done, but I wish I'd said Thank You when she was here to hear it.
Now I shall have to wash my face before I go out!
